Tiferet Rooms
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Rooms is an open space for live conversation. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and who can see what you share. Please read it carefully: by using Rooms, you agree to it.
In short
- Rooms is a public space. Anything you say, write or upload can be seen, heard, recorded and shared by other people.
- Rooms may be recorded and saved. By entering a room, you agree to this.
- We collect data about your account, your content, your device and how you use the app — including for analytics and to improve Rooms.
- Do not say or post anything you are not ready to make public.
- Questions about your data: privacy@tiferet.app.
Who we are
Tiferet Rooms (“Rooms”) is part of the Tiferet project (“Tiferet”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers the Rooms apps for iOS and Android and this website, and it is part of our Terms of Use.
You are in a public space
Rooms, room chats, profiles and much more in Rooms are visible to other users, and sometimes to anyone with a link. So:
- Anything you share — your voice, words, messages, photos, videos, files, name and profile picture — may become available to other people.
- Rooms may be recorded and saved — by Tiferet, by hosts or by participants themselves — and remain available after the room ends.
- Other users may record, save, copy or forward what you share, including outside Rooms. We cannot control this and are not responsible for it.
- A message you delete may already have been seen, saved or forwarded.
- If you choose to share personal or sensitive information — about your health, faith, family, finances or other people — you do so at your own risk.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your email, password, name, photo or avatar, profile description, language, and the invitation you joined with.
- Support requests, reports and anything you attach to them.
Your content
- Your voice and what you say in rooms, room recordings, room chat, direct and group messages, photos, videos, files and reactions.
- We store this content, including private messages and personal information you share, and we may review and analyze it — for example for safety, handling reports, enforcing our rules and improving Rooms.
Your activity
- The rooms you join, create and schedule; your roles and actions in them; who you follow, your friends, your online status and when you are active.
Device and technical data
- Device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, device identifiers, notification tokens, logs, errors and crashes.
Analytics
- How you use Rooms: which screens you open, what you tap, how long sessions last, connection and audio quality.
Access to device features
- For features to work, the app may ask for access to device features such as the microphone, notifications and photos. You can change access in your phone’s settings; without it, some features will not work.
From others
- Information about you that other users provide (for example in reports and invitations), and that services and partners we use provide.
How we use data
- To run Rooms: your account, rooms, recordings, messages, calls and notifications.
- For analytics, to study how Rooms is used, to improve its quality and to build new features.
- For safety and moderation: handling reports, preventing abuse and enforcing our Terms, including restricting and blocking accounts and devices.
- To contact you: notifications, service messages and replies to your requests.
- To comply with the law, protect the rights and interests of Tiferet and our users, and resolve disputes.
- For other purposes, with your consent.
We may anonymize and aggregate data and use such data for any purpose.
Analytics and improvement
We collect and analyze data about how Rooms is used — ourselves and with third-party analytics and crash-reporting tools. These tools may receive device information, identifiers and in-app activity. This helps us find problems and make Rooms better.
Who we share data with
- Other users — everything you post in rooms, chats and your profile, and what you share in conversations.
- Service providers — hosting and storage, notification delivery (Apple and Google), analytics, communications, support and other technology services, including services based on artificial intelligence.
- For legal reasons and protection — when authorities require it, to protect the rights, property and safety of Tiferet, our users and others, and to investigate violations.
- In a reorganization — if Tiferet or part of it is merged, transferred or changes form.
- With your consent — in other cases.
International transfers
Rooms connects people around the world, so your data may be stored and processed outside your country, where data laws may differ. By using Rooms, you agree to such transfers.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy, to run and protect Rooms, to resolve disputes and to comply with the law.
You can ask us to delete your account — in the app, where this option is available, or by writing to privacy@tiferet.app from your account’s email address. After deletion we may keep data that we are required or permitted to keep by law or that we need for safety and resolving disputes, as well as anonymized data. What you already shared with others, room recordings and copies saved by other people may remain available.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. To use them, write to privacy@tiferet.app. We may ask you to verify your identity and may decline where the law allows. You can also contact your local data protection authority.
Children
Rooms is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we may delete it. Parents or guardians are responsible for minors’ use of Rooms.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no transmission or storage of data is completely secure. We do not guarantee the security of data and, unless the law requires otherwise, we are not responsible for unauthorized access to it. Keep your password safe.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy at any time. The new version takes effect when it is published; the date at the top shows the latest update. By continuing to use Rooms, you agree to the updated policy.
