Tiferet Rooms
Terms of Use
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of Rooms. Please read them carefully: they describe the risks of a public space, the limits of our responsibility and how we may restrict or end your access.
In short
- Rooms is a public space. You use it at your own risk.
- Users are responsible for what they say, write and upload — not Tiferet.
- Rooms may be recorded and saved.
- If you see a violation, report it. We will review the report and remove content where needed.
- Tiferet may restrict, block or permanently end access to Rooms at its discretion and without giving a reason.
- Rooms is provided “as is”, without any warranties.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the Tiferet project (“Tiferet”, “we”, “us”) about the Rooms apps for iOS and Android and this website (together, “Rooms”). By creating an account or using Rooms, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Rooms.
Your account
- You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms and is responsible for your use of Rooms.
- Give accurate information and do not pretend to be someone else.
- You are responsible for everything that happens in your account and for keeping your password safe.
- We may refuse registration, revoke an invitation or change a username at our discretion.
A public space, at your own risk
Rooms is an open space where people we do not know and do not verify talk to each other. Anything can happen here: you may hear or see things you find inaccurate, unpleasant, offensive or harmful. You understand this and accept that risk.
- Anything you say, write or upload can be seen, heard, recorded, saved and shared by other people — including outside Rooms.
- Do not share anything you are not ready to make public: personal data, addresses, financial or medical information, or information about other people.
- Tiferet does not verify users’ identities and is not responsible for who they turn out to be or how they act — in Rooms or outside it. Be careful when dealing with people from Rooms outside the app.
User content
Tiferet does not create, endorse or pre-screen what users say, write and upload. We try to keep order, but we cannot know about or check everything that happens in live rooms and chats. Therefore:
- Content is the responsibility of the person who posted it. Tiferet is not responsible for the words, messages, files, recordings or conduct of users, hosts and moderators.
- Opinions in Rooms belong to the people who express them and do not reflect Tiferet’s position.
- If we have not acted on some content, that does not mean we approve of it or know about it.
Reports
If you believe content or conduct violates these terms or the law, report it — in the app or at support@tiferet.app. We aim to review reports promptly and, where we see fit, remove content or take other action. Tiferet decides what action to take. Send notices about copyright or other rights to legal@tiferet.app.
Room recordings
Rooms may be recorded and saved — by Tiferet or by hosts — and made available to others after they end. By entering and speaking in a room, you consent to the recording of your voice, words, name and profile picture, and to such recordings being stored, shown and distributed in and in connection with Rooms.
Users may not record or share other people’s words without consent, but we cannot prevent it and are not responsible if someone breaks this rule.
Community rules
Speak to others the way you would want to be spoken to in the beit midrash.
- No insults, harassment, threats, hatred or humiliation.
- Do not mock sacred texts, the Names of God, prayer or Torah study.
- No lashon hara and no sharing of people’s private information.
- No sexual content and nothing that endangers minors.
- No spam, advertising, fundraising or campaigning without permission.
- Do not impersonate another person, a rav or an organization.
- No illegal content, infringement of others’ rights, fraud or malware, and no attempts to hack, overload or scrape Rooms.
- Do not evade restrictions or blocks, and do not misuse reports or moderation tools.
This list is not exhaustive: Tiferet decides what breaks the rules.
Hosts and moderators
Whoever creates a room is its host and may appoint moderators. They run the room on their own, do not act on behalf of Tiferet and are responsible for their room and their decisions. Tiferet may step in at any time but is not obliged to.
Your content
- Your content stays yours, and you are responsible for it. You confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate anyone’s rights or the law.
- You grant Tiferet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable and sublicensable license to use, store, reproduce, adapt for format, display, publish and distribute your content, including room recordings you take part in, to run, improve and promote Rooms.
- The license continues for content you have already shared with others or that is part of room recordings, and for copies we keep as required by law or in backups.
- We are not obliged to keep your content and may remove it at any time.
Restrictions and blocking
To keep Rooms safe and improve its quality, Tiferet may, at its discretion, at any time, without notice and without giving a reason:
- remove or hide any content;
- close or interrupt a room;
- stop someone from opening public rooms, speaking or writing in public chats;
- limit features, suspend or delete an account;
- permanently ban access to Rooms — including on all of your devices and for new accounts.
We are not obliged to explain such decisions and are not liable to you for them. If you think we made a mistake, write to support@tiferet.app — we may reconsider, but we are not obliged to.
Changes to the service
Rooms is free. We may change, add, limit or remove features at any time and without notice, and suspend or end Rooms entirely, without liability. We do not promise that Rooms will always be available or uninterrupted.
Learning, not rulings
Classes, answers and discussions in Rooms are for learning. They are not a halachic ruling and not legal, medical, financial or psychological advice. For a practical question, turn to a rav or a professional you trust. Tiferet is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of anything heard or read in Rooms.
Our rights
The Rooms apps, design, name and logo belong to Tiferet. You may use Rooms for yourself and your community, but you may not copy it, resell it or build a competing service from it. We may use the ideas and feedback you send us freely and without obligation to you.
Supporting Rooms
Supporting Rooms with a donation is voluntary and done through external payment services under their terms. Unless the law requires otherwise, donations are non-refundable and do not give special rights, ownership or influence over Rooms.
App stores
If you downloaded Rooms from the App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to the download. These terms are between you and Tiferet, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for Rooms or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
No warranties
Rooms is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, preservation of data and recordings, security, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiferet, its team, volunteers and partners are not liable for:
- the content and conduct of users, hosts and moderators — in Rooms or outside it;
- recordings, copies and distribution of your content by other people;
- interruptions, errors, loss of data or recordings, or unauthorized access;
- restrictions, blocks and removal of content or accounts;
- indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages, lost profits, damage to reputation or emotional distress.
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid Tiferet, if any, in the 12 months before the event. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend Tiferet, its team and partners against third-party claims and to compensate them for losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of Rooms, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Ending use
You may stop using Rooms at any time and ask us to delete your account. Tiferet may end your access to Rooms at any time, for any reason or for no reason. Provisions that by their nature should continue — on content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes — continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time. The new version takes effect when it is published; the date at the top shows the latest update. By continuing to use Rooms, you accept the updated terms.
Disputes and languages
If something goes wrong, write to us first at legal@tiferet.app. These terms are governed by the law that applies to Tiferet’s activity, without limiting the mandatory protections of the country where you live. These terms exist in English, Hebrew and Russian; if they differ, the Russian version prevails.
General
- These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Tiferet about Rooms.
- If any provision is found invalid, it applies to the maximum extent allowed and the rest remain in effect.
- If we do not use a right, that does not mean we have waived it.
- Tiferet may transfer its rights and obligations under these terms; you may do so only with our consent.
- Tiferet is not responsible for failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
